Treasured Possession – Exodus 19:5-6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Exodus 19:5
“Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.

So if we walk in His ways we will be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. And then it says “These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” Now, consider what was spoken to the New Testament believers by Peter.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

See the parallel? When we walk in His light, His ways, we are His treasured possession. We are to be that holy nation under Him. Do you strive to be in that holy nation? Start pursuing all of His ways today. Be His treasured possession today.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
