To the Gentiles – Philippians 4:9

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

I’ve spoken with many believers who still do not believe the law is for us to follow today. I’ve heard multiple reasons and perspectives as to why they say we shouldn’t. One of those reasons given is because they say the gentile believers never pursued the law in the New Testament.

One of the common arguments is that the law was given to the Jews only. This is why we see Paul following the law in several verses throughout the New Testament. However, our verse seems to make it pretty clear that Paul, himself, was directing the gentiles who were coming to the faith to follow the law just the same. To follow his example in every area of his life.

Can you say that of your life? If someone was to follow your example in life, what kind of life would they be living? Just as Paul did, may we follow our saviors example.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
