Things Above – Colossians 3:1-4

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Colossians 3:1
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

This is one of those verses that you can’t help but read and just let your mind wonder on what it’s going to be like. But we can’t forget to set our hearts on things above. To set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.

The day will come when He appears. That’s the day we should all be longing for. What are you long for? Oh, I know we can all say that we long for that day. However, we exemplify what we long for by what we set our hearts to on a daily basis. We exemplify what we long for by how we live. How do you exemplify that longing everyday in your life?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
