Sin’s Deceitfulness – Hebrews 3:13

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Hebrews 3:13
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

It’s the pleasure of sin that deceives us. It makes us think that it can’t be bad. But that pleasure of sin is short lived. Since it’s short lived, many keep going back to it over and over again.

Moses refused that time of pleasure before being called to lead YHWH’s people.

Hebrews 11:25
He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.

Think about what YHWH could do if everyone chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. How many pray to YHWH to be used of him? Maybe He’s just waiting on them to set aside their sins.

Do you have sin in your life that you hold on to because it makes you feel good in some way? Remember, sin only hardens your heart through it’s deceitfulness.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom
