Romans 12:18 – Peaceful People (August 10)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Wednesday. August 10th. The fourth day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is Romans 12:18.

Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

So, are you living at peace with everyone? Sounds easy on the surface, but we all know that this can be a task in itself. Why? Because there seems to be so many people who thrive off of making a commotion. Who thrive off of cutting people down because they don’t agree on something someone else believes in. So many people who claim they are believers and pursue His ways, yet they don’t think twice at cutting other believers down.

How is that living at peace with others? We’ll, I’ll tell ya. It’s not. These people create tension, unnecessary strife and discord in the body of Messiah. And for what? To make themselves look good by putting others down.

Do we really think that YHWH approves of those cut downs and mocking? Allow me to remind us of a verse we covered before.

Matthew 12:36
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

Live at peace with everyone.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
