The Right Choice – Proverbs 2:11

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 2:11
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.

Discretion is exemplified wisdom in how one acts or talks. The ability to make proper choices. The ability to think through your choices. As noted in Proverbs 9, understanding is knowledge of the Holy one.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of YHWH is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

So, in a way, this verse could read like this…

“Making proper choices will protect you, and Knowledge of the Holy One will guard you.”

Do you make a conscious choice to serve YHWH every morning? Sounds silly right? I mean, of course you do. However, there is something about making that choice for yourself every morning. It’s a conscious decision. It’s a declaration that reminds us of just who we are serving in the midst of this world that is doing everything it can to get your mind off of that very decision.

So then, before you get too much more in to your day, make that declaration now. If you have to, repeat it. Then say it as reminders throughout your day.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
