Rich Welcome – 2 Peter 1:10-11

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Peter 1:10-11
Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Did you hear that? It said “if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom.” If we do what things? Let’s read verses 5 – 7.

2 Peter 1:5-7
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to barely make into the kingdom. I really don’t. I want Him to smile big when He sees me coming. What kind of welcome do you want to receive? You might want to read verses 5 -7 a few more times today.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
