Perspective – Colossians 2:13-15

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Colossians 2:13
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Verse 15 says He disarmed the powers and authorities. It says he made a public spectacle of them. How did He do that? By triumphing over them by the cross. Now, when many think of the cross, they think of it as defeat or even shame. But here we see that He made a spectacle of them. Interesting isn’t it? They thought they made a spectacle of Him to the world. But in the eyes of Heaven and Earth, the witnesses who will testify to all that we have done, Yeshua made them known. He made a spectacle of them to who it really matters.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
