Out of Touch – Exodus 10:7

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Exodus 10:7
Pharaoh’s officials said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship YHWH their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is ruined?”

It’s obvious Pharaoh was out of touch with his people. It seems as if he only saw what was going on around him in the royal palace. There’s no doubt Pharaoh knew of all the devastation that had been taking place in all of the land, but when you’re not there in the midst of it all, well, as they say, “Out of sight, out of mind.” He was only focused on how things were impacting his life.

This is a prime example that your sin can, and most likely will, impact the lives of those around you. The problem is that many rarely stop to take a look around and see the damage that they are causing to others.

So what about you? Do you need someone like Pharaoh did? Someone to basically say “Hey! Do you not realize what you’re doing?”
