Numbering Our Days – Psalm 90:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Do you make your days count for YHWH? When life get’s going so fast, and it happens to all of us, we tend to be relaxed and passive on spiritual things. Not that we want to. It’s just we get so busy. It’s in those times we really have to ask ourselves “Am I numbering my days or just living them?”

When we number them, we are more mindful of them. We realize that we aren’t guaranteed tomorrow so we need to make sure we make today count for the best we can. Yet, if we are living life in the fast lane, if we are busy cramming as much of the world that we can into our life, it seems that our spiritual priorities take a back seat.

I’m talking the priorities for a daily walk with YHWH. Spending time with Him. Focusing on the things in life that truly matter. The things in life that truly last forever. Gaining the wisdom to know the difference.

“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
