If Not Today, It’s On The Way – Acts 12:21-23
Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.
On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
Judgement. It doesn’t always come as fast as this. However, one thing is for sure, if we don’t repent, it’s on the way. The delay in judgment is mostly given to us in hopes we will repent. The problem is that many times the grace given to us in having judgement delayed is often mistaken for the thought that everything is OK. But let it be known, nothing could be further from the truth.
The longer we delay in our repentance, we may only grow deeper in a false sense of security that everything is fine. This will most often lead to completely setting repentance to the side where we forget about it altogether. So remember, just because judgement hasn’t come yet, doesn’t mean it never will. Repent today.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
