No More Selfies – Philippians 1:12-13

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Philippians 1:12
Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.

Talk about giving us an example. Here Paul is looking at the circumstances he is in and looking for the good that is coming out of it. He’s in prison here and he’s trying to see how he can help others while there. Because of the circumstances he is in, he is actually being a witness to others.

Can you do that? In the midst of your hard times, can you stop to look and see just who you could be reaching out to because of that circumstance? People who you may have never crossed paths with if it wasn’t for that circumstance.

All too often we tend to focus on ourselves in our circumstances not realizing that the Father may have put us in those circumstances for others. So, stop looking at yourself.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
