No Darkness – 1 John 1:5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

The qualities of YHWH have no darkness at all. None. The qualities He possesses shines forth only light. His presence reveals what is in the darkness. So it is no wonder why the world wants nothing to do with YHWH. He reveals our flaws.

Have you ever tried to look at something in a room that has little light? It can be difficult. Right? So what do we do then? We turn on another light or go to a room with better lighting. When we go to YHWH that is precisely what we are doing. We are turning on the light.

The second we open up the word, we are inviting His light into our lives. However, that also means when we cease to open His word, we are keeping His light from our lives. If we want to have his light in our lives every day, we need to be in His word every day. But remember, knowing the word doesn’t guarantee we are living it. Seeing the light doesn’t mean we are walking in it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
