Make Time – Proverbs 8:34-36

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 8:34-36
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from YHWH. But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.

First, we must note this is Wisdom talking in these verses. As discussed before, we know Yeshua is wisdom according to 1 Corinthians 1:30.

Notice how we are blessed if we watch and wait for Him daily at his doors. Do you seek Him daily at His doorway? Do you take time away from your busy schedule to seek Him? Let’s face it, time is a precious commodity. What do you spend it on?

In this crazy world we live in, we’ll never “find” time for Him. We have to make that time. Verse 35 implies that when we watch and wait for Him, we’ll find life. Which, of course, we know Yeshua is Life according to John 14:6.

Verse 36 tells us that if we fail to find Him, meaning we fail to watch and wait for Him at His doorway, we harm ourselves. Don’t bring harm to yourself and your family anymore. Seek Him everyday.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
