Luke 6:35 – His Disciples pt. 4 (May 26)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Thursday. May 26th. The 5th day of the Hebraic week.

Our verses today is Luke 6:35.

Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

OK, so we’re continuing with our same theme that we have the last few days. Showing love. Remembering that Yeshua said that everyone will know that we are His disciples if we love one another.

Now, listen to the last part of our verse again. It says “…and you will be sons of the Most High,
because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” It says that he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Now, let that sink in for a second. So why is He kind to them? For the same reason He was kind to us.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So when we opposed YHWH, He showed us love. Sacrificial love. So what are you going to do when someone just opposes your point of view? Are you going to demonstrate YHWH’s love? Or will you display a condescending attitude?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
