Luke 6:32-33 – His Disciples pt. 3 (May 25)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Wednesday. May 25th. The 4th day of the Hebraic week.

Our verses today is Luke 6:32-33.

Luke 6:32
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even “sinners” love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even “sinners” do that.

Continuing with our same theme from the last couple of days, it’s to be our love that shows we are Yeshua’s disciples. So are you showing love to all? Or are you only showing love to those who love you? If that’s the case, Yeshua says there is no difference between you and someone who is of the world.

So back to those who disagree with you on a particular topic, are you showing love to them? Or are you unleashing your venom of hate because you believe they are so wrong and they deserve to be hated upon? Regardless of how wrong they may be, does that give you the right to exemplify hate? Even a word of correction can be given in love.

Especially if they claim to be a believer, should we really let the evil speech of hate come out? Whether the words are from your mouth or from your keyboard, they are still from your heart. Words are powerful, we should use them cautiously.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
