Love is … – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Now, what I want to do is read our verse again but this time as I read it, I want you to check yourself in how you have responded to others. Either to their face, behind their back or even by way of how you responded to them via e-mail or a FaceBook post. Because of this, please allow me some grace here as I want to read it with all of this in perspective. To read it with a slightly different slant. You’ll understand as I begin reading. Ready?

Love responds patiently, love responds kindly. It does not respond with envy, it does not respond with a boastful attitude, it does not respond in pride. (5) It does not respond rudely, it does not respond in a self-seeking way, it does not respond easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. (6) Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. (7) It responds in manners that always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and that always perseveres. (8) Love never fails.

Remember, we’re to show love to everyone at all times. That’s how we show we are His disciples.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
