Let’s Get Him! – Mark 3:3-6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 3:3-6
Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.” Then Jesus asked them, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

This was done at a time when many were looking for a reason to kill Yeshua. And it’s here at this event, when He heals someone, that they start their plot. Doesn’t it seem odd that they want to kill Yeshua for healing people? But selfish reasons can justify just about anything. Remember, it’s our selfish sins that put him on the cross just the same. So before we start pointing fingers at the Pharisees, let’s be mindful of the fingers pointing right back at us.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
