Holy People – Ephesians 5:3

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Ephesians 5:3
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

The greek for this verse implies that these shouldn’t even be named among believers. Now, here’s the thing, since Yeshua said that a man commits adultery by just looking at a woman lustfully, what should that mean for us on these topics? Wouldn’t the same apply on these as well? Yes, they would and they do.

YHWH wants his people completely free from the world and it’s desires. Do you have any sexual immorality, any kind of impurity, or of greed in your life? How about in your thought life? Paul said these are improper for God’s holy people. How can we be “holy” if we allow these in our life in any way?

Holy means to be set apart. To not be like everyone else. Are you doing all you can to make sure that you are set apart in all of your life?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
