His Word in You – Colossians 3:16

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Let His word dwell in you richly. Not a little. Not just enough to get by. No. He said to let His word dwell in us richly. So how much effort do we put into getting His word to dwell in us? Not man’s word. Not mans opinion of His word. But rather His word.

There is nothing wrong with listening to teachers preaching on the word. In fact, that can really help us. However, we can’t become dependent on listening to others for the word. We need to make it a point to dig into the Word for ourselves.

As we grow in His word on our own, we get a greater joy in sharing with others what the Father has shown us. In so doing, we find ourselves doing what our verse said. And that’s teaching and admonishing one another with all wisdom. That’s growing and sharing together.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
