Heaven & Earth – Deuteronomy 30:19 (Matt. 5:18)

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 30:19
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love YHWH your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For YHWH is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Interesting isn’t it? Heaven and earth are the witnesses regarding who obeys and who disobeys the Torah. Now we can see why Yeshua said what He did in Matthew 5:18.

Matthew 5:18
I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

So when does Heaven and Earth disappear? Just after the judgement of mankind in Revelation 20:15. That’s when the new Heaven and Earth appear. So the Law remains for us until then.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
