Following the Spirit – Luke 4:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Luke 4:1
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert,

Here we see the Spirit led Yeshua into the desert. Listen to the following verse to find out what for.

2 where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

He was led by the Spirit to be tested. Obviously the Spirit did not do the tempting, yet the Spirit clearly led Him there. There are times in our life when we are to be tested so we can move forward in the plans that YHWH has for us.

There’s not one prophet or patriarch that didn’t go through hard times or temptations. We all have to face those times in our lives. They make us stronger. They get our focus on YHWH. They show us we need Him in our life.

Following the Spirit is not designed to give you goose bumps. Following the Spirit is to make us the men and women He has called us to be. Are you willing to follow the Spirit? Even if He leads you into hard times?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
