Ephesians 5:15-17 – Sharing – Part 4 (June 19)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday. June 19th. The 1st day of the Hebraic week.

Our verses today are Ephesians 5:15-17.

Ephesians 5:15-17
Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Concluding this little series on sharing, notice Paul’s words a few verses down from yesterdays verse. He said “Be very careful, then, how you live”. Be very careful. Those words should be shouted from the roof tops to every believer. I don’t believe these words can be underscored enough.

We’ve been talking about sharing things lately. Specifically on Facebook, yet it can really apply to everyday conversations as well. With that in mind, let’s jump down to verse 19.

19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.” Ya know, we face enough negativity in the world as it is. So why share anymore that the world may be doing? Let’s share the encouraging words that we all need to make it through this world.

So what are we sharing everyday? Positive or Negative? Are we inadvertently promoting the problem or helping with the solution?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
