Entering Eternity – Matthew 6:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 6:1
Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Here we see two very important words that are all too easily looked over. “Be careful”. That means we should pay close attention to our actions. Be mindful of our desires and attitudes that long for people to acknowledge us. These are not things that should go unchecked in our lives.

These are things that need to be kept on a very short leash. To be reigned in on a daily bases. Better yet, an hourly basis. This life is not what we are living for. So make sure to not let your ego or insecurity steel yourself of anything that we are living for. This life is temporary. Don’t forget that. Why settle for something that is here today and gone tomorrow. Make it a point to be careful to not let anyone see your righteousness. Don’t rob the Father of the opportunity to bless you when entering eternity.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
