Commitment – Psalm 37:5,6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 37:5,6
Commit your way to YHWH; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Commit your way to YHWH. While we all like to think that is a one-time event, it’s actually something we have to do every day. Every morning when we wake up, we have to choose to commit to Him. “Commit” is a powerful word. It means no turning back. Like a boulder pushed at the top of a hill. Once it’s rolling down, there’s no stopping it. Is that how you see your commitment? No stopping?

It then says “He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” It doesn’t say when this will happen. However, it does say it will happen. It can occur at the least expected moment. It may happen tomorrow. Next week. Next year. We don’t know. At the very least, it will happen at His return. Regardless of when it happens, we need to stay focused on our commitment.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Comfort Zone

As the saying goes, ships are safe in the harbor, but that’s not what ships are made for. Likewise, it’s nice to have a comfort zone but we can’t dwell in them 24/7. If we hope to grow any at all, we have to step out of our comfort zone and learn to grow in our...
