Colossians 3:13 – Walk in Forgiveness (August 20)
Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Saturday. August 20th. The seventh day of the Hebraic week. And everybody says “HalleluYah.”
Our verse today is Colossians 3:13.
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
What a great verse. Bear with each other. That means… oh, how can I say it? Put up with each other. That’s right. There’s always going to be someone who gets under your skin or rubs you the wrong way. However, has it ever occurred to you that you could be that “someone” to another person?
Just as there will always be someone who gets on your nerves, trust me, there will always be someone who you bother as well. So, what should our attitude be in this? The answer? Forgiving. That’s right. Forgiving.
Nobody has it all together and everybody has something to work on. We’ve all made mistakes and I have a funny feeling that we’re not done making them. That being the case, when we make mistakes, do we not want some grace given our way? Of course we do. Thus, the last sentence in our verse. “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” May we always walk in forgiveness.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
