Colossians 3:17 – In His Name (August 23)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Tuesday. August 23rd. The third day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is Colossians 3:17.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Whatever you do. Think about that for a second. Whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua. When your driving down the road and someone cuts you off, whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua. When someone talks about you behind your back and you find out, whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua.

When someone purposefully mistreats you, whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua. When someone lies about you, whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua. When someone does something to you that you know is wrong, whatever you do, do it in the name of Yeshua.

Get the picture? Everything we do should reflect His name. Everything we do should reflect His honor. Everything we do should reflect His holiness. Everything.

Is it easy? Of course not. But that is what sets us apart. We are to do everything in His name.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
