The Cause – Jude 22-23

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Jude 22
Be merciful to those who doubt; 23 snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Be merciful to those who doubt. So, are you merciful to those who doubt? Or do you condemn? Do you expect everyone to get it like you did? If they don’t, what do you do? How do you treat them? This verse makes it pretty clear that we’re supposed to be merciful. Merciful.

To give them time. To pray for them. To encourage them. What is your attitude towards people who don’t see the the scriptures the same way you do? Maybe it’s time to do some serious soul searching regarding how we treat others who don’t agree with us.

We can only change the world by how we live. Not by how we try to force others to. Start setting the example today by giving what we all need. Mercy. Otherwise, you may be doing more harm than good for the cause of the gospel.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
