The Book of Wisdom – Proverbs 1:1-3

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 1:1-3
The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair;

These verses show just how important the book of Proverbs really is.

Verse 2 again. “For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight;”

That alone should be incentive to get us digging into this book. How many times have we read something and it just went over our head? Then what did we do? We just kept on going because we didn’t understand it. But this book, according to Solomon, will help us in understanding those seemingly difficult passages.

Verse 3 says “for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair;”

One who is disciplined and prudent is one who takes thought and care into everything they do and doesn’t waste time. We all want to do what is right and just and fair. And this book gives us the key to applying those principles in our life. Don’t wait any longer. Start reading Proverbs today.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
