Blessed – Proverbs 28:14

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 28:14
Blessed is the man who always fears YHWH, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

Hardening your heart is the act of no longer being willing to submit to YHWH. You may claim His name, talk about His word and even follow elements that you agree with. Yet, the moment you refuse to obey when he puts His finger on an element in your life, you are hardening your heart in His eyes.

It’s one thing to come to the Truth, it’s another thing to stay in it. I can’t help but think of Hebrews chapter 3 when reading this verse.

Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

So what’s this rebellion He is talking about? The following verses explain how those who were under Moses hardened their hearts in rebellion. They came to a point where they refused to follow in obedience. He’s constantly working on all of us. Don’t stop growing in YHWH. Don’t harden your heart to His voice.

14 Blessed is the man who always fears YHWH, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
