Peace Brother – 2 Corinthians 13:11

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Let’s imagine that Paul was writing this letter directly to believers of today. How do you think we would be doing at accomplishing this verse? Let’s read it one more time.

Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Are you aiming for perfection? I’ll confess the part about being of “one mind” can be next to impossible today because we don’t have the Jerusalem council to go to for settling disagreements. So we are all just doing our best when it come to how we interpret the Torah today. However, it’s the next part that I believe is overlooked way too often these days. What part is that? The part that says “Live in Peace.” Do you live in peace with others? Or rather discord, hatred or jealousy. Live in peace.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
