The Anti-Messiah – Deuteronomy 13:4

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 13:4
It is YHWH your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

Now to set the context here, I want to back up to verse one. Listen closely.

Deuteronomy 13:1
If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. YHWH your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Maybe it’s just me but every time I read these verses I can’t help but think of the coming days when the Anti-Messiah will come and perform miracles and lead so many astray. It will truly be the ultimate test you can imagine. Will you stay faithful?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
