1 Peter 3:12 – No Curve (May 22)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday. May 22nd. The 1st day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is 1 Peter 3:12.

1 Peter 3:12
“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

I’ve seen a lot of people point fingers at those who claim the faith but willfully choose a life of sin. And because there are people that are so blatant in their life of sin, that many are quick to say to themselves “Well, I’m not that bad.” or just assume that their OK since there are people that are so brazen in their walk of sin though claiming the Faith.

The problem is that YHWH doesn’t grade on a curve. Grant it, you may not be “as bad” as others, but that also doesn’t make you good either. Looking at others to feel good about yourself is only self deception. There is only one to whom we should be looking at and that’s Yeshua. How well do you stand up against Him?

Puts things into perspective doesn’t it? We can’t let ourselves fall into a false sense of security by
comparing ourselves to people who choose to blend with the world. Our goal should be to seek after a life like Yeshua’s. Choose to walk in His righteousness everyday. For then, His eyes will be upon you and His ears will be attentive to your prayers.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
