John 7:5 – Rejection (April 14)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Thursday. April 14th. The 5th day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is John 7:5.

John 7:5
For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

Now, just to let you know, this is Yeshua’s brothers talking about Him. He was facing rejection from His very own family. It’s one thing to face rejection from strangers or even from people who you thought were your friends. Yet, when it comes from family, it can really dig deep.

However, this should be a reminder to all of us that no one is exempt from rejection, even from family. If Yeshua, himself, faced rejection from His family, should we be surprised if we do too?

Standing up for Truth will not always be easy. Persecution and rejections will come from sources you did not expect. They may catch you off guard. Yet, when they come, we should remember that even Yeshua faced ridicule from His own family. That should actually be an encouragement to us. To think that we are facing some of the very things that our Messiah faced.

If you are facing rejection, even from family, remember, your in good company.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
