Other Side of Eternity – Matthew 26:39

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Verse 44 says Yeshua prayed this three times. Have you ever prayed for something and it just never happened? Of course you have. As we see here, so did Yeshua.

I’ve heard it said if your prayers aren’t answered then you don’t have enough faith. So, is that true? Well, maybe sometimes. But that can’t be applied every time. Sometimes we just have to go through things.

Sometimes YHWH has things planned out in our life where we just have to weather the storm. It’s in those times where we learn to grow in our faith. It’s in those times that we have to understand that He knows what’s best for us. So if ever you pray for something and the answer seems to come back as “No”, remember, that answer is for a reason.

You may never know the reason for that answer on this side of eternity. But that’s OK. It’s the other side of eternity that we’re living for anyway, right?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
