The Proof is in the Light – John 8:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

So here’s the question, are you walking in the light? Hopefully you said yes. Yet, then the next question would have to be “How do you know?” How do you know you’re walking in the light? Can you say you are because you claim yourself as a believer? Because you have a Bible? Because you pray before you eat? What determines if we are in the light or not?

While many claim they are in the light because they have Yeshua, I can’t help but think maybe they have it backwards. What if it needs to be understood that we have Yeshua if we are walking in the light? You see, walking in the light proves you are in Yeshua. Yet, saying you have Yeshua doesn’t prove you are walking in the light.

Yeshua said “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness.” Do you follow Him or just talk about it?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
