Not Your Own – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

“You are not your own.” When we realize this and let it sink into our hearts, it changes everything. Seriously. This life we live is not for ourselves. It’s not supposed to be anyway.

Everything we do should be centered on what He wants for us, not what we want. We are not to be living an autonomous life for our own selfish desires and motivations.

We were bought at a price and we are to seek out what He desires for this life that He is allowing us to live for Him. What does that do for your current perspective on life right now? Does it match it or does it rock it? Does that change how you look at things? Does that change how you pray?

Yashua, Himself, prayed, “not my will, but yours be done.”

May we never forget, that it’s the will of YHWH that is to be the focus of our lives. Not our will.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
