March 12

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Saturday. March 12th. The 7th day of the Hebraic week. And everybody says “HalleluYah.”

Our verse today is Acts 3:6.

Acts 3:6
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Messiah Yeshua of Nazareth, walk.”

Whenever I hear this verse preached on, it seems that everyone talks about the mighty miracle that took place. And I agree. It was absolutely amazing. But think about this for a minute. Where did this happen at? Exactly who was this man who was healed. Consider verse 2.

2 Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.

Here’s my thinking. This event of the mans healing happens in Acts chapter 3. This is not long after Yashua’s ministry on earth. It says here that the man was laid at the gate “beautiful” everyday. How many times did Yashua walk by this gate himself? How many times did this man see Yashua pass by but was never healed? How many times did this man say “Why is He healing everybody but me?”

My point is this. For whatever reason, Yeshua doesn’t heal everybody when they first ask. He doesn’t heal everybody at the first opportunity. His timing is not our timing. YHWH had it planned out that this man’s healing would be what causes a great stir for His name through the disciples. Obviously, this man never knew that.

That being said, I’ve personally seen where people were never healed except by way of what many call “The Ultimate Healing” and that is death. Why? I don’t know. But I do know that His ways are higher than ours and He has a purpose for everything.

If you are feeling like He is just passing you by everyday and only answering the prayers of others, hold on. You don’t know what’s coming down the road. Even if He never answers your prayer, remember, His ways are higher. One day everything will make perfect sense.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
