Louder – Mark 10:46-48

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 10:46-48
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

I love reading about this event. The man cried out to Yeshua. When he was rebuked by others, he simply cried out louder. Determined. He wasn’t going to let others deter him from reaching out to Yeshua. Yeshua ended up stopping just because He heard Bartimaeus. As a result, Bartimaeus gets healed and started following Yeshua.

What do you do in the face of opposition? Do you just give up or do you set your hope all the more harder and make yourself all the more determined? We’re all faced with these kinds of moments in our lives with various circumstances. Don’t give up. Cry out louder.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
