A Friend – John 15:13

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Friendship. That’s a big word. In more ways than one. Yeshua showed us the ultimate sacrifice of a friend in giving His life for us. He exemplified what a friend should be. Selfless. Loving when it’s difficult to love. Giving when it’s difficult to give.

May we always have our heart set on being the friend we should be. Let’s make sure we do our best to constantly look to Yeshua’s example in being that friend to others. Not counting the wrongs that others have done to us. And let’s face it, that can be difficult at times. But if we know that we aren’t perfect, how can we expect others to be perfect?

Instead of looking at what a friend can be for you, try to see what you can be for others. We all have different needs and we have different gifts. Look around and see who needs you to be a friend to them. Be that friend and rejoice in it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
