Far Off – Psalm 38:21-22

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 38:21-22
O YHWH, do not forsake me; be not far from me, O my God. Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior.

We’ve all been in those times when you feel you can’t get any lower. Only to find sometimes you actually could. Yet, I can’t help but wonder how few a times these situations would even come in our lives if we didn’t make YHWH our last option.

How far away would He really be if we didn’t make him our last option? If we made Him the first one we seek in the morning, good times or bad, do we really think He will be far away? Most often, not always of course, but more times than not those times of Him feeling far away can actually come from us being the one who wondered off.

Grant it, there will always be those times when we are tested in our faith. We just need to make sure that it’s not us who needs to come back to Him when we ask for Him to not be far off.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
