Don’t Be Surprised – 1 Peter 4:12-14

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Peter 4:12
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

It seems over and over again we see where believers were persecuted for the faith in the scriptures. A persecution that believers today in many countries no nothing about. But what if that changed? What if the freedoms and liberties that so many know and enjoy were taken away? Could they, or even would they, stay true to following Yeshua?

What about you? Would you stay true in the face of persecution? Would you remain faithful as you are now? Most all of us can’t imagine turning form the faith. Even if we faced difficult times, it’s something we just can’t imagine. But could it happen? How strong are you in the faith?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
