Are you A Wrestler? – Colossians 4-12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Colossians 4:12
Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

This verse has always stood out to me. It says Epaphras was always wrestling in prayer. Wow. What a testimony. What a way to be thought of and remembered. As a man who always fought in prayer.

He didn’t wrestle in prayer for himself, mind you. He wrestled in prayer specifically for others. Others. When you pray, who do you pray for? Have you ever wondered what it’s going to be like standing before YHWH? What if he looked down at the books and then said “OK, out of this many total hours in your life, you spent this many in prayer. Out of this many hours in prayer, you spent this many on yourself.”

So, are you a wrestler? If so, who do you wrestle for? Yourself or others? If your prayer life was known to others, how would you be remembered?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
