Which Slave are You? – Romans 7:24-25

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 7:24
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God – through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

We have a choice to make everyday of our life. To choose in submitting to God or submit to sin. It’s not a one time deal. This is something we must choose everyday. From the moment we get up in the morning to the moment we lay back down at night, we must choose. Yet, it’s not just a matter of choosing. It’s a matter of walking out that choice throughout the day.

It’s really that simple. A matter of choosing what master we wish to follow. A matter of who we choose to rule over our lives. We serve everyday. We either serve YHWH in submitting to His ways or we serve our self by serving our sinful nature. It’s up to us.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
