Intentions – Genesis 50:20

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

These are the words of Joseph to his brothers. Joseph is now second in command over all Egypt at this time. A position that he would have never held if his brothers didn’t treat him the way they did. Yet, because of what they had done to him, he was enabled to be elevated to this place of authority.

Now pause for a moment. Has someone done you wrong? Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, it was for your good? Deep down inside I struggle thinking that Joseph saw the benefit of what his brothers did to him when it first happened. In fact, I don’t believe he saw what was going on until that day came when he was placed second in command.

The point here is this, there may come times in your life that people will mean to do you harm, but the Father will use it for His benefit.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
