Good Company – Matthew 5:11-12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 5:11
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Do people insult you? Do they falsely say all kinds of evil against you? Don’t be upset about it. Rejoice in it! That’s right. Rejoice! Those are Yeshua’s words. Anytime you stand up for doing the right thing, you’re going to get something in the negative.

The prophets received it from the people of Israel. YHWH’s people. So don’t be surprised at the source from where you may receive rejection. It may come from people that claim to be in the faith.

The point though is to rejoice in those times. Can you do that? Seriously. You should. Yeshua said that if we are receiving that kind of treatment for Him that we are being treated the same way the prophets were. I don’t know about you, but I consider that good company.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
