We Belong – Romans 14:8

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 14:8
If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

There’s a movie where the main actors are stranded on a little boat in the middle of the ocean. After weeks without food and their water extremely scarce, one of the men died. Though nothing was shown, the discussion from the main characters made it clear of their intention to use the man as food in the name of “surviving.”

It’s amazing how the world looks at death in such a negative view. Like it’s a bad thing and should be avoided at all costs. Someone who is in the faith should never be scared of death. If we are walking in the Word, He will never let something happen to us that didn’t first go through His approval. If YHWH wills for us to have, what the world may call, a “premature” death, who can prevent it from happening? And if He wills for our deliverance, likewise, who can keep it from happening?

Our verse says “If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
