Focus on the Unseen – 2 Corinthians 4:18

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

How can we fix our eyes on what is unseen? Impossible. Well, if we think only in the Physical it is. However, if we focus our hearts on the spiritual, well, that’s different ballgame.

We’re to walk in the spiritual everyday. If we focus our lives only on what is seen, we could be losing out on many blessings. We could be losing out on watching His hand at work in our lives. If we focus our lives only on what is seen, we are focusing on the temporary. On that which is here today and gone tomorrow.

Yet, if we focus on the unseen, then we are putting our attention to the eternal. We may not see the rewards on this side of eternity, but that’s OK. This life is temporary. It’s what comes after this life that truly matters. Yet, it’s in this life that determines our outcome for the eternal.

Where is your focus at today? On the seen or the unseen?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
