He is Just – Isaiah 6:9-10

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Isaiah 6:9-10
He said, “Go and tell this people: “‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’ Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

Why would YHWH not want His people to understand and turn and be healed? It just seems so opposite of what we see in the rest of scriptures right? Actually, no. Just as much as YHWH is compassionate, loving and caring, we also know He is just.

The people of Israel had been in rebellion. They had rejected YHWH over and over. As a result, they gave no other option to YHWH but for Him to bring down the wrath they were deserving. They had exhausted the grace that YHWH had been extending. The time for judgement was at had.

May we never forget that just as much as He wants to give us grace in hopes for our repentance, He is forced to to bring judgement when we continue in rebellion.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
