Reason Together – Isaiah 1:18

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us reason together,” says YHWH. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

Have you ever seen people debate before? It’s like each one strives to make their points and prove the other person wrong. Yet, YHWH doesn’t challenge us to a debate. He beckons us to come and reason with him. He could easily prove us wrong at a moments notice, but He’s not out to humiliate us. He’s not out to make us look bad. He longs for us to see the truth.

He’s the one who has the answer to every question that exists. He’s the one that can prove himself right on every topic with no effort at all. Yet, He gently calls us to come reason with him.

Wouldn’t it be nice if everybody followed His example in this? How many arguments would we really have? Would there really be any such thing as “heated debates” among us? How much un-necessary division could be avoided simply by following His example and calmly reasoning together? So, are you following His example in this?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
